Vintage Barbie
Vintage Barbie Dolls start at the very inception of a doll that would become an icon. The business got off to a shaky start and Barbie was not well received at the Annual Toy Fair in New York City in 1959, but she stood her ground on those tiny feet in high heeled shoes and by 1960 was being taken very seriously throughout the American toy industry and department

The Ken Doll
//
The Ken Doll came to life in 1961 as Barbie Dolls boyfriend and he was an instant hit as Barbie fans wanted her to have a companion. The first Ken Doll had flocked hair in either blonde or brunette, blue eyes and he was 12 inches tall. The Ken doll came wearing red swimming trucks, sandals and had a yellow beach towel. With time and age the hair became thin and fell out of Kens head leaving many of these dolls with bald heads.
The following year, 1962, a second Ken was released

My Barbie Dolls

She looks as wonderful today as she did fifty years ago. It is estimated that one Barbie Doll is sold every second worldwide, that makes her one of the most loved and favourite toys of all time. So in saying that, it is fair to say that at some stage in our lives (for us girls mainly) we will own at least one Barbie. I would also like to make comment that
